Section 3.9 Keeping Faculty and Administrator Informed and Engaged during Re-envisioning Process
In addition to meeting with individual faculty members one-on-one, the committee members provided brief updates at regularly scheduled faculty meetings. They also invited the new head of the department to meet with the committee in the card-sorting room. They discussed a wide variety of issues, including ideas that were emerging for the two new sophomore courses. The head of the department was in the process of designating teaching assignments for the coming academic year and agreed to assign one of the associate professors and the assistant professor to develop and teach these new courses the following winter and spring terms.
