Section 3.1 Meeting Frequently and Briefly

The Paradigms 2.0 committee met twice, sometimes three times, a week during spring term 2016 to undertake the re-envisioning process. They agreed to limit these meetings to one hour, to focus on a priority for each meeting, and to end on time. As skilled active listeners, they encouraged one another to contribute ideas and paused frequently to give people time to think, to venture an unusual possibility. They tried to identify what was important, what principles should govern a particular decision, and were willing to talk together about suggestions on the table as long as needed, even for multiple meetings if necessary. They agreed to be content with making some progress, even if only a little, at each meeting.
